Here's how the musical is billed, "I GOT FIRED is a sem-autobiographical musical about Keith, an aspiring writer working in a soul-crushing office job. When an evil nemesis emerges to squash his coffee-stained hopes and dreams, he decides to take revenged with the most devastating weapon available: musical theatre. Some names have been changed to protect the guilty."
In addition to Mauzey (Wicked) and Zirilli (Lysistrata Jones) the reading will feature Adinah Alexander (Kinky Boots), Kevin Michael Murphy (Book of Mormon), Jennifer Sanchez(Ghost, Spider-Man), Aaron Kaburick (Motown, Sister Act), Pearl Sun (If/Then) and Keith Varney.
The musical originally premiered at the New York Musical Theater Festival where it received the “Theater for the American Musical Award.”
