News   Amanda Seyfried Joins Bobby Cannavale and Ethan Hawke for Hurlyburly Reading

The New Group has announced that Amanda Seyfried, who will make her New York stage debut later this month, will join Bobby Cannavale and Ethan Hawke in the one-night-only reading of David Rabe's Hurlyburly on April 26.

The reading, helmed by artistic director Scott Elliot, will also feature Marin Ireland, Josh Hamilton, Parker Posey and Wallace Shawn. A limited number of tickets are available, with proceeds from the performance benefiting The New Group.

Hurlyburly follows the lives of four Los Angeles men trapped in love-hate relationships with Hollywood women, set in the hedonistic Hollywood Hills of the 1980's where sex and cocaine reign supreme. The hit, Tony-winning play was staged by The New Group in 2005, marking its first revival since its acclaimed Broadway run in 1984.

For tickets to the benefit reading call (212) 244-3380, ext. 308 or email Events@TheNewGroup.org. The New Group at The Pershing Square Signature Center is located at 480 West 42nd St., New York.
