PlayBlog American Idiot Commercial Debuts For Green Day fans, the past 24 hours have been a windfall of American Idiot content: a Grammy Award performance by Idiot's Broadway-bound cast, the unveiling of a new "21 Guns" music video and the airing of the musical's TV commercial.


The TV spot ran locally in the New York area during the Grammy Awards, and is nearly identical to what's running on American Idiot's homepage, save for a few differences in the voiceover.

Incidentally, the Grammys garnered nearly 26 million viewers — a six year high — which is sure to be music to American Idiot producers seeking to get the word out about the show's impending arrival on Broadway.
