The 7 PM benefit takes place at the company's home at 59E59 Theaters. Proceeds will support Primary Stage's artistic programs.

Last seen at Primary Stages in his play The Right Kind of People, Grodin will return to "share his amusing adventures on Broadway, in Hollywood, on TV, and in the radio and literary worlds," according to an announcement.

The multi-faceted artist performed a similar evening at the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, CT, earlier this year.

Grodin is known for his work as an actor in such films as "Sex and the College Girl," "Rosemary's Baby," "Heaven Can Wait," "Midnight Run," "Taking Care of Business," "Beethoven" and "Dave." On Broadway, Grodin appeared in Tchin-Tchin, Absence of a Cello and Same Time, Next Year and directed Unexpected Guests, Lovers and Other Strangers and Thieves. His play, The Right Kind of People, played Off-Broadway at Primary Stages (January-March 2006) following its world premiere (November 2004) at San Francisco's Magic Theatre.

Primary stages currently presents the New York premiere of Athol Fugard's Exits and Entrances through April 29. Next season will see three New York premieres: Horton Foote's Dividing the Estate, Willy Holtzman's Something You Did and Michael Hollinger's Opus, with one new work yet to be announced.
