According to press materials, the show explores "the myriad highlights of one of the most celebrated careers in acting history, from his time Off-Broadway in the 60s right up to the present day, with the actor himself, in intimate theatre surrounds. The evening will include an on-stage interview projected on a state-of-the-art large screen, bringing the action closer to the audience." There will also be a question-and-answer session, allowing audience members to speak directly to him.

In a press statement, Pacino commented, "I am really looking forward to coming to London. I have always felt at home there. I consider it an honor to be appearing at the Palladium and I will be glad to be back on the boards in your great city."

Pacino is one of the few actors to have won the triple crown of acting awards - the Oscar (for "Scent of a Woman" in 1992, with nominations also for "The Godfather," "The Godfather Part II," "Dick Tracy," "Glengarry Glen Ross," "Serpico," "Dog Day Afternoon" and "...And Justice for All"); the Tony (for Does A Tiger Wear a Necktie in 1969 and The Basic Training of Pavlo Humel in 1977; he was also nominated in 2011 for The Merchant of Venice); and Emmys (for "Angels in America" in 2003 and You Don't Know Jack" in 2010). He has also won the BAFTA (for "The Godfather Part II" and "Dog Day Afternoon").

He has also directed and produced several films including "Looking For Richard" and the soon-to-be-released "Wilde-Salomé." He was most recently seen on Broadway in last year's revival of David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross.
