No theatre has been announced for the star-studded evening, which is presented by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Those participating in the event will also be announced shortly.
The 12th Annual Dame concert, held March 19 at the Marquis Theatre, raised $300,000 for Newman's Women's Health Initiative. The concert featured performances by Shoshana Bean, Liz Callaway, Paul Castree, Kate Clinton, Joyce DiDonato, Jill Eikenberry, Jenn Gambatese, Ana Gasteyer, Milena Govich, Jennifer Holliday, Beth Leavel, Jose Llana, Tshidi Manye, Maureen McGovern, Tiler Peck, Lynn Redgrave, Barbara Rubenstein, Lea Salonga, Jennifer Smith, Jason Michael Snow, Brooke Tansley, Barbara Walsh, the Westchester Academy of Dance, the women of the Broadway cast of Company and "One Life to Live" co-stars Renee Goldsberry and Tika Sumpter.
To date, the Dame benefits have raised over $3 million for the Health Initiative.
The Actors Fund of America is the only national non-profit organization that provides for the social welfare of all entertainment professionals. Since 1996, The Actors' Fund has focused on helping women in the industry who are coping with critical health concerns through The Fund's Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative. Initiated by Actors' Fund Trustee Newman, the Women's Health Initiative offers a roster of services to help women access health care and to coordinate support services.
