Wintertime began previews Feb. 3 for a run originally slated through March 21. Marsha Mason ("The Goodbye Girl") and Michael Cerveris (Tommy, the upcoming Assassins) star in the co-production with New Jersey's McCarter Theatre Center (where the show recently played) which opened Off-Broadway, March 2. Mee's comedy follows the story of a young man who is set to propose to his girlfriend at his family's secluded snowbound house when he finds that his mother and her French lover already occupy the cabin. Moments later, the father shows up with his boyfriend for an evening that features even more surprise guests.

David Schweizer directs a cast that also features Tina Benko, Brienin Bryant, T. Scott Cunningham, Carmen de Lavallade, Nicholas Hormann and Danny Mastrogiorgio. Marylouise Burke (Kimberly Akimbo) and Christopher Denham (Master Harold...) join the original McCarter cast — replacing Lola Pashalinski and McCaleb Burnett, respectively.

Paul Schoeffler will replace Cerveris for the final performances as Cerveris leaves the production March 11 to begin preparing for his upcoming turn in Broadway's Assassins.

The design team for Wintertime will feature Andrew Lieberman (scenic), David Zinn (costume), Kevin Adams (lighting) and Eric Shim (sound).
