Anthony Newley, the singer and Broadway composer, is back in the spotlight, playing a three-week engagement at Rainbow and Stars nightclub in New York Newley will perform Tuesday through Saturday nights through May 25.

Newley established himself in the unlikely combination of lyricist and co-star of Stop the World -- I Want To Get Off, The Roar of the Greasepaint -- The Smell of the Crowd, The Good Old Bad Old Days, Doctor Doolittle and other projects, generally with composer Leslie Bricusse (who did lyrics on Victor/Victoria and Jekyll & Hyde).

Newley built those starring roles into a club singing career. His signature song is "What Kind of Fool Am I?" from Stop the World.
