Rosemary Andress will direct the work based on a true story. Performances begin Jan. 8, 2009 and will play a limited engagement through Jan. 24, 2009. It opens Jan. 11, 2009.

Dionne Audain (Silent Heroes world premiere), Julie Jesneck (Rock 'n' Roll), Kelly Ann Moore, Sarah Saunders ("Army Wives"), Lisa Velton Smith and Rosalie Tenseth will appear in the work that is set shortly after the end of the Vietnam War.

In Silent Heroes, "the wives of six Marine Corps aviators have gathered in the night after hearing that one of the base's jet fighters has crashed. The Corps has offered no comfort or information, but the women know that one of their husbands isn't coming home. Silent Heroes deals with women's rights, race relations, family, war and peace, and the tenuous social structure that enables military wives to cope with the constant fear that their husbands' lives, and their futures, could end suddenly," press notes reveal.

Silent Heroes made its world premiere at the Phoenix Theatre in Washington, DC. The play has also been part of FutureFest, the Firehouse Theatre Festival of New American Plays and the Pittsburgh New Play Festival.

Designing the production are Nick Francone (set and lighting design), Kevin Hucke (costume design) and Jonathan Sanborn (sound design and original music). Tickets, priced $18, are available by visiting RoundTableEnsemble, or by phoning (800) 838-3006.

Silent Heroes will be presented at Theatre 54 at Shetler Studios, located at 244 West 54th Street in Manhattan.
