PlayBlog Audra McDonald Visits "The View" to Talk Marriage Equality (Video) Tony Award winner Audra McDonald (A Raisin in the Sun, Ragtime) sat down with the ladies of "The View" July 25 and talked about singing at New York State's first gay marriage, as well as "Private Practice" and her return to Broadway in the upcoming Porgy and Bess.

McDonald announced that she would be singing at the ceremony last week via her Twitter account. "Gonna sing at the celebration of the first gay marriage officiated by Mayor Bloomberg this weekend," McDonald tweeted. "So honored and excited!"

Here, the ladies of "The View" even offered a glimpse of her performance of "Our Love is Here to Stay," by George and Ira Gershwin, that kicked off the wedding reception July 24.

McDonald was also caught backstage at "The View" and chatted with Bill Geddie about "Harry Potter," spending quality time with her family and her return to Broadway.
