News Ayers, Page and Smith to Be Part of Reading of The Other Side of Darkness A by-invitation-only reading of Phil Geoffrey Bond's The Other Side of Darkness will be held Nov. 21 at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre.

The 6 PM reading will feature Becca Ayers as Lillian, Patrick Page as Stephen and Derek Smith as Jay. Jeff Lee directs with associate direction by Terry Berliner. The Other Side of Darkness, according to production notes, tells the story of "Stephen and Lillian Manners, artists who find themselves swept up in the perils and rewards that go along with success. Art and fame interweave into an explosive cacophony of disappointment and addiction."

Becca Ayers is currently making her Broadway debut understudying the roles of Kate Monster, Lucy T. Slut and Mrs. T. Bear in Avenue Q. Patrick Page has appeared on Broadway in The Lion King, Julius Caesar, The Kentucky Cycle, Beauty and the Beast and A Christmas Carol. Derek Smith's Broadway credits include The Green Bird (Tony nomination), The Lion King, Ring 'Round the Moon, Jackie, Getting and Spending, Timon of Athens and The Government Inspector.
