Responding to a sold-out run at its home base, the John Montgomery Theatre Company is remounting its Icons & Outcasts at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre (61 Christopher St. and Seventh Ave.). Performances begin Aug. 14. The Suzanne Bachner play is a sex farce based in Manhattan's Chelsea. The plot follows eight characters as they become involved with one another's lives during the course of one day. The octet include such figures as Vampire, Hustler, Redneck, Angel, Loner and Bimbo. The cast features Laura Lee Ash, Matthew Bray, Anthony Giangrande, Alex McCord, Michael Medico, Liz Sullivan and Alexander R. Warner. Icons will run through Sept. 26. Meanwhile, JMTC just opened Sharman MacDonald's When I Was a Girl I Used to Scream and Shout at the John Montgomerery Theatre. The production, starring Robin Morse and Robert Maxwell, began previews on Aug. 5. For information on When I Was a Girl, call (212) 627 7076.
