Classic Arts News BALLETX, Former Phrenic Founders' New Company, Will Debut at Philadelphia Festival BALLETX, a new Philadelphia-based company founded by Christine Cox and Matthew Neenan, will make its debut on September 7 and 10 as part of the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival.
The performances take place at the Arts Bank Theater in Philadelphia.

The debut, entitled 2Different, will feature Neenan's About February, with live music by accordion player Lidia Kaminska, and London-based choreographer David Fielding's Easy Living, with a score by Steve Reich.

Cox and Neenan founded BALLETX after Phrenic New Ballet, which they had created with Amanda Miller and Tobin Rothlein, split into two companies last fall. BALLETX is made up of dancers from the Pennsylvania Ballet, including Laura Bowman, Jermel Johnson, Tara Keating, Meredith Rainey, and Francis Vayette, along with freelance performer Miko Doi-Smith.
