News Bare's Michael Arden Goes it Solo at Joe's Pub May 2 Michael Arden, who played the title role in the Pippin concerts on both coasts, will go it solo at Joe's Pub next month.

On May 2 the young actor-singer will present a new repertoire featuring his own compositions as well as those by contemporary musical theatre composers. Concertgoers can expect to hear tunes by Adam Guettel, Ricky Ian Gordon and Tom Kitt. Natalie Joy Johnson and Arielle Doneson will join Arden onstage. Matt Richardson will be featured at the piano with Peter Sachon on cello. Show time is 9:30 PM. Michael Arden has appeared on the New York stage in Bare: A Pop Opera, Big River, The Vampire Lestat, It's Only Life and Harold & Maude. His regional credits include God of Vengeance; Falsettoland; Art, Song Dance; West Side Story; Songs for a New World; The Common Pursuit and A Winter's Tale. A graduate of the Juilliard School, Arden's compositions include Easter Rising and As You Like It.
