A panel of theatre professionals will select four winners—two men and two women—to attend the awards show on May 23.
Prize package includes hotel accommodations at a top-rated Times Square hotel, wardrobe, hair & make-up provided by top names in the industry, and access to the VIP After Party, where the winners will mingle with Hollywood and Broadway's elite.
The Drama Desk Awards, which are given annually in a number of categories, are the only major New York theatre honors for which productions on Broadway, Off-Broadway and Off-Off Broadway compete against each other in the same category. Formed in 1949 by a group of New York theatre critics, editors, reporters, and publishers, the organization was born out of the desire to educate the community on vital issues concerning the theater.
