The book, based on a poem written by an autistic boy, Keli Ericsdottir, tells the story of a boy unable to speak due to a severe case of autism, but can communicate with others while wearing the "magical" hat.
Ben Stiller, Julianne Moore, Meryl Streep, Jude Law, Kevin Bacon, Michael Kors, Ricky Gervais, Maria Sharapova, Christina Aguilera, Naomi Watts and Javier Bardem are among the celebrities that will be featured in Winslet's book.
In the book, Winslet describes her relationship with Ericsdottir, whom she met while narrating the HBO documentary "A Mother’s Courage: Talking Back to Autism."
Proceeds from "The Golden Hat," scheduled for release in November, will benefit Winslet's autism charity, "The Golden Hat Foundation."
