News Beth Leavel Will Star in Muny's First Cabaret Tony winner Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone, The Bandstand) will star in the first Muny Magic cabaret concert. The concert will be held Nov. 11-12 at the Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis, MO.

In an interview with St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Leavel said, “It’s such an honor to be the first. I love St. Louis and I love the Muny and I love Mike [Isaacson]."

Leavel has performed at the Muny as Dorothy Brock in 42nd Street, Mrs. Dolly Gallagher Levi in Hello, Dolly! and Aunt Eller in Oklahoma!

Leavel is currently in rehearsal for The Bandstand at Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey. The Bandstand begins performances Oct. 8 and plays through Nov. 8. Laura Osnes and Corey Cott also star. Andy Blankenbuehler directs and choreographs the new musical, which features a book and lyrics by Robert Taylor and Richard Oberacker and music by Oberacker.
