Only Human, rocker Mike Squillante’s biblical musical about a battle between Lucifer and Jesus, will open Off-Broadway October 17 at Theatre at St. Clement’s. Previews begin October 7 for a run through January 5, 2020.

Featuring music and lyrics by Squillante, Only Human has a book by Jess Carson and is directed by NJ Agwuna. Adria Barbosa will orchestrate, and Josue Jasmin is set to choreograph.

Only Human is produced by Jesse Murphy and James Sears Bryant's Jesse James Films.

Casting will be announced in the coming weeks.

“Before they were enemies, they were co-workers. Jesus and Lucifer never saw eye-to-eye, but when an extreme case of creative differences gets the best of them, all hell breaks loose…literally. A hilarious new musical of biblical proportions, Only Human shakes up heaven with kick-ass pop rock tunes and corporate attire,” according to the creators.

Completing the creative team are Andrew Moerdyk (sets), Avery Reed (costumes), and Eric Norbury (lighting). Foresight Theatrical will serve as general manager for the commercial production.
