Chicago's One Big Toe Company and Francesca Fanti will play the absurdist satire, Orgasmo Adulto Escapes From the Zoo Aug. 27-Oct. 3 at the Theatre Building. Italian actress Fanti reprises the roles she played in 1997 in Los Angeles.

Orgasmo Adulto, a joint production between 1997 Nobel Prize laureate Dario Fo and his wife Franca Rame, is five monologues: "Waking Up," "Dialogue for a Single Voice," "Monologue of a Whore in a Lunatic Asylum," "A Woman Alone" and "We All Have the Same Story." All deal with middle-aged women dealing with sex, from the tale of a woman sneaking her lover into her family's home for a night of love to a prostitute who has suffered a long history of abuse and is branded insane.

Fanti, born and raised in Rome, was asked to perform Orgasmo for L.A.'s Italian Institute of Culture's celebration of Fo's Nobel Prize win in 1997. The production was then remounted in Pasadena where it won the L.A. Valley Theatre Critics' Best Actress in a Comedy Award and again in San Francisco at the Marsh Theatre where it won the Bay Area Critics Circle Best Solo Performance Award.

Steve Pink and Sid Feldman direct. Andrew Meyers designed the lights, Alessandra Montagna, the costumes and Alberto Carrasco, the sound. Chris Elaine Shelor is the stage manager.

Tickets ($18.50-$15) are available by calling (773) 327-5252. The Theatre Building is located at 1225 West Belmont. -- By Christine Ehren
