In case you couldn’t make the show, Broadway in Chicago has released a behind-the-scenes video of the night, with highlights from the red carpet right through to the glamorous opening-night party.
The video includes appearances by cast members from the show, composer Sir Elton John, Reverend Jesse Jackson and, of course, the latest crop of talented young men playing Billy.
Billy Elliot: The Musical opened on Broadway in 2008, and went on to win ten Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Director for Stephen Daldry, and a Best Actor award for the three young men sharing the title role. It is currently running at Broadway’s Imperial Theatre.
