There's nothing like planning ahead. Legendary producer Cy Feuer's 90th birthday doesn't roll around until Jan. 11, 2001, but already plans are underway to celebrate the advent of the Tony-winner's tenth decade on Earth. "Celebrate Cy" has been set for Oct. 30, 2000, at Pier 60-Chelsea Piers in Manhattan.
The event is being co-presented by the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation, the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers and The League of American Theatre and Producers. The evening will benefit SDCF. Entertainment, as yet unrevealed, will be directed and choreographed by Karen Azenberg and written by Douglas Bernstein and Denis Markell. Stars are to be announced.
Feuer was the producer behind such Frank Loesser shows as Guys and Dolls, Where's Charley? and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Other credits include Can-Can and Little Me.
