Tony Awards Bogardus, Childs, Ford and Others Join Tony Awards Nominating Committee Several names have been added to the Tony Awards Nominating Committee; members attend all of the Broadway productions that open within the season and then assemble at season's end to vote on nominees.

Variety reports that this year's new members include actor Stephen Bogardus, musical theatre composers Kirsten Childs and Nancy Ford, library executive and booking agent Jacqueline Z. Davis, casting director Geoffrey Johnson and journalists Enid Nemy and William Tynan. Returning members include Maureen Anderman, Ira Bernstein, Schuyler G. Chapin, Veronica Claypool, Betty Corwin, Gretchen Cryer, Merle Debuskey, Edgar Dobie, David Marshall Grant, Micki Grant, Julie Hughes, Betty Jacobs, David Lindsay-Abaire, Gilbert Parker, Shirley Rich, Judith Rubin, Bill Schelble, Rosemarie Tischler and Jon Wilner. Those on the nominating committee serve a three-year term.

The Antoinette Perry "Tony" Award is bestowed annually for distinguished achievement. Details about the 2004 Tony Awards, which will again be broadcast on CBS, are expected shortly.
