Andrew Lloyd Webber, wearing his producer's hat rather than his composer's, presented some of the songs from forthcoming Bollywood Musical Bombay Dreams in an Indian restaurant Feb. 7.
If the excellent critical reaction was anything to go by then A. R. Rahman and Meera Syal will be the toast of the Ivy as well as curry houses throughout London, after Bombay Dreams opens in June.
The musical promises to bring Indian culture into mainstream musicals and as it will be playing at the Apollo Victoria - in Westminster - there won't be any Camden council officials hanging round the theatre listening out for over-loud sitars.
For tickets to Bombay Dreams call the Apollo Theatre Box Office on 020 7416 6055.
