The Boston Pops opens its annual holiday season at Symphony Hall tonight with conductor Keith Lockhart on the podium. The concerts run through December 31.

The 39 concerts, which include seven kids' matinees, feature selections from the Pops' 2004 album Sleigh Ride and other seasonal favorites. The Pops season ends with a New Year's Eve event featuring a concert, dancing, and desserts.

Lockhart, principal guest conductor Bruce Hangen, and other conductors will alternate on the podium.

Tickets are priced at $24 to $109 ($80 to $169 on New Year's Eve) and are available by calling 888-266-1200 or visiting www.bso.org.
