Elliott Forrest will direct the 8:30 PM readings of Black's "The Thing Itself" and "That Of Which We Cannot Speak." Vocalist Jody Sandhaus and musician Pete Malinverni will offer a musical interlude between the readings. Following the readings, author Black will join Forrest, Boutsikaris and Shea for a discussion on the works. Boutsikaris (Amadeus, Bent, Sight Unseen) will read "The Thing Itself," while Shea (Yentl, Normal Heart, "Lois & Clark") will read "That Of Which We Cannot Speak." According to press notes, "The two stories are tied together by the theme of marriage – one from the point of view of a married man facing the disappointment of a childless marriage and an unfulfilling career, and the other a regretfully divorced man."
