News Boutsikaris and Shea to Read Shorts by Black April 18 Dennis Boutsikaris and John Shea will read the short stories of Alethea Black April 18 at the Rosenthal JCC Theatre in Pleasantville, NY.

Elliott Forrest will direct the 8:30 PM readings of Black's "The Thing Itself" and "That Of Which We Cannot Speak." Vocalist Jody Sandhaus and musician Pete Malinverni will offer a musical interlude between the readings. Following the readings, author Black will join Forrest, Boutsikaris and Shea for a discussion on the works. Boutsikaris (Amadeus, Bent, Sight Unseen) will read "The Thing Itself," while Shea (Yentl, Normal Heart, "Lois & Clark") will read "That Of Which We Cannot Speak." According to press notes, "The two stories are tied together by the theme of marriage – one from the point of view of a married man facing the disappointment of a childless marriage and an unfulfilling career, and the other a regretfully divorced man."
