Directed by Jenn Thompson, the "boxing musical comedy" will feature the talents of Adam Brazier, Margaret Nichols, Michael Halling, Heather Laws, Tim Martin Gleason, Kevin Loomis, Tim Ewing, Jerry Jerger, David Hamilton, Scott Janes, Ed Lovett, Brian O'Brien, Jake Speck, Joe Thompson, Max Hambleton, Kelly Campbell and Jennifer Waiser. Show time is 3 PM. Seeing Stars features music by Don Breithaupt, lyrics by Jeff Breithaupt and a book by Shelley McPherson. The musical, according to press notes, is described as such: "Eddie 'Bare Knuckles' McSorley and 'Gentleman' Joe Sullivan are two rival boxers in love with Jean, a feisty reporter, in this tough and tender original musical set in Hell's Kitchen in the '30s.  Nothing is ever the same after Jean walks into a gym full of palookas and steps into the ring. If she can convince Gentleman Joe, who retired years ago, to fight Eddie, a seasoned champ, she can escape the house-and-garden beat. But when this triangle gets blindsided by love, all bets are off."

The reading will be presented at the York's home at The Theatre at Saint Peter's on 54th Street, east of Lexington Avenue. Although the reading is free, reservations are required by emailing Jeff Landsman at [email protected] (include name, phone number, the show's title and the number of tickets) or by calling (212) 935-5824, ext. 24.
