Though Nash has performed at 54 Below on numerous occasions, the concert marks his first time performing solo. Backed by a full band and string quartet, he performs the album in entirety. "Forever/After" features arrangements of songs by Jason Robert Brown, Ben Folds, Stephen Sondheim, Jason Mraz, Stephen Trask and Patty Griffin, among others. Nash, a Bistro Award winner and regular fixture on the Off-Broadway scene, has made his name as a musical director and orchestrator. He has worked with Broadway stars Laura Benanti, Lena Hall, Kyle Dean Massey, Rachel Bay Jones and Kinky Boots’ Natalie Joy Johnson. With Johnson, he created Co-Dependent Mondays, a weekly show at Therapy that has been running since 2011, and is also the resident musical director at the long-running Mostly Sondheim at The Duplex. His concert work has featured performances with Deborah Cox, Kathy Najimy, Mandy Gonzales, Tonya Pinkins, Andy Bell, Amy Poehler, Cady Huffman, Lillias White, Molly Pope, and Courtney Act, among many others.
