News Broadway Actors Join Boston Run of A Little Night Music Stephen Bogardus and Lauren Molina have joined the Huntington Theatre Company production of Stephen Sondheim's and Hugh Wheeler's A Little Night Music. Performances begin Sept. 11 in Boston.

As previously announced, Haydn Gwynne, who earned an Olivier Award for her performance in the original London production of Billy Elliot, will star as Desiree Armfeldt. Joining her are Bogardus (Man of La Mancha, Falsettos) as Fredrik Egerman, Molina (Rock of Ages, Sweeney Todd) as Charlotte Malcolm, Bobbie Steinbach as Madame Armfeldt, Mike McGowan as Count Carl-Magnus Malcolm, Morgan Kirner as Anne Egerman, McCaela Donovan as Petra, Pablo Torres as Henrik and Lauren Weintraub Fredrika Armfeldt.

Completing the cast are Amy Barker as Mrs. Anderson, Wendi Bergamini as Mrs. Nordstrom, Aimee Doherty as Mrs. Segstorm, Drew O’Shanick as Mr. Lindquist, Nick Sulfaro as Mr. Erlanson and Sam Simahk as Frid, along with Sarah Oakes Muirhead, Patrick Varner and Cailin Doran.

Running through Oct. 11, A Little Night Music will be directed by Huntington artistic director Peter DuBois.

The musical, inspired by the Ingmar Bergman film "Smiles of a Summer Night," features a book by Wheeler, a score by Sondheim and orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick.

The production will have music direction by Jonathan Mastro, choreography by Daniel Pelzig, scenic design by Derrick McLane, costumes by Robert Morgan, lighting design by Jeff Croiter and sound design by Jon Weston. Visit huntingtontheatre.org.
