News Broadway Sessions to Welcome Marty Thomas, John Arthur Greene, Celina Carvajal, Lucas Steele Broadway Sessions with Ben D, the weekly musical theatre-themed evening at The Midtown Theater, will continue Jan. 27.

The evening will celebrate the birthday of theatrical manager Michael Einfeld and will also feature the work of musical director Trapper Felides.

Einfeld's clients scheduled to perform include Tracy McDowell (Rent), Marty Thomas (Wicked, Xanadu), Ryan Duncan (Shrek, Altar Boyz), Zach Bandler (With Glee), Jason Edward Cook (With Glee), Kelly King (recording artist), James T. Lane (Chorus Line, Scottsboro Boys), Jessica Goldyn (A Chorus Line), Dan Micciche (Chicago), Paul McGill (Memphis), Jeff McLean (Legally Blonde national tour) and Josh Walden (Ragtime).

On hand to perform Felides' arrangments will be John Arthur Greene (West Side Story), Celina Carvajal (Toxic Avenger) and Lucas Steele (The Broadway Boys). (Felides will offer a concert of his arrangements Jan. 31 at Les Poisson Rouge at 10 PM.)

Broadway Sessions is hosted by actor Ben Cameron, who has appeared on Broadway in Footloose, Aida and Wicked, and is described as "an evening of musical performances, comedy, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week." The evening features musical director/composer Will Van Dyke on piano.

Doors open at 10 PM for the weekly Thursday-night event. Show time is 11 PM, and the musical theatre open mic continues till 2 AM. The Midtown Theater is located at 167 West 46th Street inside the HA! Comedy Club. There is no cover charge for this event; funds will be collected and donated to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
