The actress is reading over the script for the movie, husband James Brolin told the television magazine show. "Meet The Fockers" will reunite original stars Ben Stiller and Teri Polo as the affianced couple (Greg Focker and Pam Burnes) with Robert DeNiro and Blythe Danner again playing Stiller's in-laws. Streisand would play wife to Dustin Hoffman — who was recently reported to play Stiller's father in the film.
Streisand starred on Broadway in the original staging of the Jules Styne musical Funny Girl as well as in I Can Get It for You Wholesale. Streisand made her film debut reprising her role as Fanny Brice in "Funny Girl" — winning an Oscar for her portrayal. She also starred on screen in "Hello, Dolly" and "On a Clear Day You Can See Forever." Her last film role was in the 1996 film "The Mirror Has Two Faces." She received a special Tony Award in 1970 for her work over that past decade. Streisand also recently served as material for Daniel Stern's Off-Broadway comedy, Barbra's Wedding.
