News   Broadway's Kinky Boots Will Offer Online Ticket Lottery

Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced July 7 that the Tony-winning musical Kinky Boots will implement a new digital lottery, allowing potential audience members to purchase $37 day-of tickets from anywhere.

Beginning July 13 the digital ticket lottery will replace the previous lottery policy, in which entries were accepted only outside the Al Hirschfeld Theatre box office (302 West 45th Street) two hours prior to curtain time.

The complete rules and regulations for the new digital lottery policy follow:

-          A limited number of tickets for each performance will be sold via lottery.

-          Entries will be accepted online (lottery.kinkybootsthemusical.com) beginning at the curtain time of the previous performance up to 3.5 hours prior to curtain of the desired performance.

-          Limit one entry per person and two tickets per winner – entries will be checked for duplicates. -          Three hours prior to the performance time, names will be chosen at random for a limited number of tickets priced at $37 each, and entrants will be notified via email.

-          Winners may pick up and pay for their tickets any time between the drawing and 30 minutes prior to the curtain time.

-          Tickets are subject to availability.

-          Tickets may be partial view.

The standard lottery at the Hirschfeld Theatre box office remains in effect through July 11.

Kinky Boots, according to press notes, "tells the uplifting and heartwarming tale of Charlie Price, a young man reluctantly taking over his family’s struggling business. Charlie meets and finds inspiration in Lola and together, the unlikely pair finds that they have more in common than they ever dreamed possible… and discovers that when you change your mind about someone, you can change your whole world."
