Broadway News Broadway’s Summer: The Donna Summer Musical Announces Rush Ticket Policy Over 20 of Summer’s disco classics are featured in the musical that is now in previews at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.

Summer: The Donna Summer Musical has announced that a limited number of $40 rush tickets will be available at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre when the box office opens each morning for day-of performances. Tickets are subject to availability.

The new musical charts the life of the late Queen of Disco through the dramatic lens of her final concert. Previews begin March 28 ahead of an April 23 opening night.

Tony Award winner LaChanze (The Color Purple), Ariana DeBose (Hamilton), and Storm Lever (Freaky Friday) play Summer at various stages in her life, taking on the respective roles of Diva Donna, Disco Donna, and Duckling Donna.

Summer features a book by Colman Domingo, Robert Cary, and McAnuff. The score includes more than 20 of the singer’s classic hits, including “Bad Girls,” “She Works Hard for the Money,” “Dim All the Lights,” “MacArthur Park,” “On the Radio,” and “No More Tears (Enough Is Enough).”
