News Brochu Will Bring Zero Hour to Florida in October Jim Brochu's tribute to late stage legend Zero Mostel, Zero Hour, which is currently playing Off-Broadway's Actors Temple Theater, will also be seen in Florida this fall.

Brochu, who also stars in the Off-Broadway production, will perform the one-man show at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Oct. 14-17 and 21-24. A replacement for Brochu in the New York engagement has yet to be announced.

"We are proud to show South Florida why Jim Brochu’s portrayal of this legendary star has earned so many rave reviews," Andrew Kato, artistic director for the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, said in a statement.

Piper Laurie directs Brochu, who won the 2010 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Solo Performance.

"Set in theatre legend Zero Mostel's painting studio on West 28th Street," press notes state, "a naïve reporter attempts to interview the famously volatile artist, prompting an explosion of memory, humor, outrage, and juicy backstage lore. Mostel is remembered for his comedic genius and his definitive roles, but in the 1950's he was equally known for his place on the infamous Hollywood blacklist."
