The planned Dec. 23 reunion of the R&B singing group The Emotions was cancelled Dec. 22 just a day before it was to take place. No explanation was given for the cancellation. Bigger Than Bubble Gum, which chronicles the lives and careers of the all-girl trio, was scheduled to be performed at Alice Tully Hall at NY's Lincoln Center Dec. 23-Jan. 4.

The Emotions are three sisters -- Jeanette Hawes, Sheila Hutchinson and Wanda Vaughn -- who began their career in Chicago and went on to have hit recordings in the '60s.
