Timothy Busfield will star as Reuben Soady, the Michigan man who can't kill a buck deer, in actor-playwright Jeff Daniels' Escanaba in da Moonlight, running June 3-July 16 at Sacramento's B Street Theatre. Timothy's brother, Buck Busfield, directs.

Set in the wilds of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Moonlight follows thirty-eight year old Soady, a man who has spent his life hunting but has never shot a buck. As his father puts it, "but if you're a Soady, to go dat late in life wit'out hangin' a buck on da buck pole, you might as well have a streak o' yellow runnin' right down da middle o' yer back."

Busfield is best known for his role on "thirtysomething." He trod the Broadway boards twice, most famously in Aaron Sorkin's A Few Good Men. Film credits include "Stripes," "Field of Dreams," "Sneakers," "Little Big League" and "Quiz Show."

Reprising his role from the hit 1996 B Street production of the play will be Greg Alexander as the alien-abducted Jimmer Negamee from Menominee.

Tickets are $19.50-$13.50. The B Street Theatre is located at 2711 B Street. For tickets and information, call (916) 443-5300. Founded by the Busfield brothers in 1992, the B Street has produced world premieres by such writers as Aaron Sorkin, Joe DiPietro and James McLure.
