Broadway's Annie will close at the Martin Beck Theatre at the Oct. 19 evening performance, but that's not the last we'll hear of the plucky orphan and her dog, Sandy. The show will go on tour in October, starting in Rhode Island and running through (at least) August 1998 in Green Bay, WI.

Broadway's Miss Hannigan, Nell Carter, will repeat the role for the first three months of the tour, according to the Cromarty & Company press office, but so far has been confirmed only through the Columbus stop in January. The Miss Hannigan for dates after that has not been announced.

Here are the scheduled stops (as of Aug. 20). Each stop plays about a week following these dates:
