Some of Broadway's biggest names have come together in the name of charity to record "Broadway Cares: Home for the Holidays." The album will include a collection of winter favorites and classics, with all proceeds going to benefit the Twin Towers Fund, the American Red Cross and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
Some highlights will include Liza Minnelli and Alan Cumming, both famed for their performances in Cabaret, singing "Baby It's Cold Outside," Tony Award-winner Christine Ebersole (42nd Street) singing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" and The Producers' Gary Beach and Roger Bart performing "Silver Bells."
The current roster of stars and songs includes Liza Minnelli & Alan Cumming - "Baby It's Cold Outside," Audra McDonald - "White Christmas," Victor Garber - "I'll Be Home For Christmas," Daphne Rubin-Vega - "Feliz Navidad," Christine Ebersole - "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," Adam Pascal - "New York State of Mind," Jane Krakowski - "Santa Baby," Lillias White - "Silent Night," Sherie Rene Scott - "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)," Lea De Laria - "Sleigh Ride," Gary Beach & Roger Bart - "Silver Bells," Billy Porter - "Christmas Time Is Here," Anthony Rapp - "Little Drummer Boy," Patrick Wilson - "We Need A Little Christmas," Sam Harris - "Merry Christmas Darling," Liz Callaway & Ann Hampton Callaway - "O Holy Night" and Davis Gaines - "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire."
