News Cabaret, Syringa Tree and Dead Man's Cell Phone Set for Trinity Rep Season Providence's Trinity Repertory Theater has announced that its 2009-2010 season will feature works by Kander and Ebb, Sarah Ruhl, Pamela Gien, Neil Simon, Shakespeare and Steven Dietz.

The Tony-winning musical Cabaret, featuring a book by Joe Masteroff and a score by Kander and Ebb, will open the season, playing Sept. 11-Oct. 11 in the Chace Theater.

Following will be Steven Dietz's romantic comedy Shooting Star, running Sept. 16-Nov. 22 in the Dowling Theater. Shakespeare's Twelfth Night will follow — Jan. 29-March 7, 2010 in the Chace Theater — and Sarah Ruhl's dark comedy Dead Man's Cell Phone will take over the Dowling Feb. 19-March 28, 2010.

Neil Simon's popular comedy The Odd Couple will inhabit the Chace April 9-May 9, 2010. The tale of Felix and Oscar will be followed by Pamela Gien's one-woman account of life in apartheid South Africa, The Syringa Tree, which runs April 30-May 30, 2010 in the Dowling.

Trinity Rep also promises the return of the holiday classic A Christmas Carol, which is scheduled to play Nov. 20-Dec. 27 in the Chace Theater.
