News Cabrillo Music Theatre's 2002-2003 Season Kicks Off With McBroom as Mame Nov. 1 Amanda McBroom will star as vivacious Auntiex Mame in Mame, opening Los Angeles' Cabrillo Music Theatre 2002-2003 season Nov. 1. The classic Jerry Herman musical comedy, featuring the beloved title number and "We Need a Little Christmas," plays at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza through Nov. 10.

Amanda McBroom will star as vivacious Auntiex Mame in Mame, opening Los Angeles' Cabrillo Music Theatre 2002-2003 season Nov. 1. The classic Jerry Herman musical comedy, featuring the beloved title number and "We Need a Little Christmas," plays at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza through Nov. 10.

Singer-songwriter McBroom is best-known for her song, "The Rose." A consummate cabaret performer, she has released six solo CDs and the cast album of her musical, Heartbeats.

The other two productions of the Cabrillo season will be Carousel (March 28-April 6, 2003) and Joseph and the Amazing Techinicolor Dreamcoat (July 25-Aug. 3, 2003).
