News Callaway, Grimes, Maye, Fuller and Mason Set for Fall Season at Metropolitan Room A starry line-up of female entertainers will fill the Metropolitan Room, the intimate Manhattan cabaret space that won a 2007 Nightlife Award, this fall.

Playbill.com has learned that stage and screen star Penny Fuller will kick off the new season at the Metropolitan Room Sept. 5-9. A six-time Emmy nominee, Fuller made her Broadway debut in 1962 in the original play The Moon Besieged. She received Tony nominations for her work in Applause and The Dinner Party, and her other Broadway credits include Barefoot in the Park, Cabaret, Rex and An American Daughter. Vocal powerhouse Marilyn Maye, who made 76 appearances on Johnny Carson's "Tonight Show," will return to the Metropolitan Room with two shows. Maye will interpret the work of Ray Charles Sept. 12-23 and will offer a tribute to the late Carson Nov. 7-19.

Anna Bergman, who was featured in the Kennedy Center production of A Little Night Music, will perform Oct. 11-20, and she will be followed by two-time Tony winner Tammy Grimes. Grimes, who won Tony Awards for her performances in Private Lives and The Unsinkable Molly Brown, will reprise her acclaimed evening "Miss Tammy Grimes" Oct. 24-27.

Broadway favorite Liz Callaway, whose Main Stem credits include Baby, Cats and Miss Saigon, will go it solo Nov. 23-Dec. 2. Luba Mason, most recently on Broadway in Chicago, will perform Nov. 23-26. Mason's other Broadway credits include The Capeman, Jekyll & Hyde, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, The Will Rogers Follies, Sid Caesar & Company and Late Nite Comic.

The fall season will conclude with veteran soap actress Eileen Fulton. Fulton, who is best known for her lengthy run on "As the World Turns," will perform Dec. 15 and 22.
