A party celebrating the upcoming renovation of the Kaufman Center on West 67th Street will be presented May 16 from 11 AM to 12:30 PM.

ABC's Cynthia McFadden will host the festivities, which will feature performances by Liz Callaway, Marc O'Connor and the Appalachian Trio and students from the Lucy Moses School and the Special Music School. Special guests will also include Elaine Kaufman, architect Robert A.M. Stern and Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer.

The outdoor extravaganza will also include cotton candy, popcorn, hot dogs and soda.

The Kaufman Center houses the Merkin Concert Hall, the Lucy Moses School and the Special Music School. The renovation includes a reconceptualization of the building exterior and public spaces.

For her work in the musical Baby, she received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, and her other Broadway credits include The Three Musketeers, Miss Saigon and Cats. Callaway's solo recordings include "The Beat Goes On," "Anywhere I Wander—Liz Callaway Sings Frank Loesser" and "The Story Goes On."

Setting the Stage. . . on 67th Street will be held at 129 West 67th Street, between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenues.
