News   Careers and Relationships Collide in Jan. 24 Premiere of Jon Marans' A Raw Space in PA Keith Baker, Madi DiStefano, Jack Koenig and Anette Michelle Sanders appear in Bristol Riverside Theatre's world premere of A Raw Space, the new play by Jon Marans, the author of The Temperamentals and Old Wicked Songs, in Bristol, PA. Performances play Jan. 24-Feb. 19.

Opening night is Feb. 2. Susan Atkinson directs the production populated by Philly-area performers.

"Developed as part of BRT's America Rising reading program," according to BRT notes, "A Raw Space tells the story of two high-powered couples during a private design competition. In this elegant interplay between architectural design and the architecture of a marriage, a woman (Sanders) masterminds a cat-and-mouse game in which her husband (Baker), her best friend (DiStefano), and her best friend's husband (Koenig) unknowingly participate for careers and love."

Marans' popular regional title Old Wicked Songs was produced by BRT last season. His play, The Temperamentals, about a chapter in the birth of the American gay rights' movement, was nominated for the 2010 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding New Play, Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding New Off-Broadway Play, and earned Marans a nomination for the John Gassner Award. He has also written Jumping for Joy, A Girl Scout World and the musicals Legacy of the Dragonslayers and Irrationals.

Director Atkinson is the founding director of the Bucks County, PA-based BRT.
