News Caroline O'Connor to Return to U.K.'s Leicester Curve to Star in Hello, Dolly! Caroline O'Connor, who earlier this year played Mama Rose in Gypsy at Leicester's Curve in the U.K., is to return to the venue to play another classic role, Dolly Levi, in its Christmas production of Hello, Dolly! It begins performances Nov. 30 prior to an official opening Dec. 5, for a run through Jan. 12, 2013.

In 2010 O'Connor brought a one-woman show Caroline O'Connor: The Showgirl Within to the West End's Garrick Theatre for a brief run. She has been nominated for Olivier Awards for Best Actress in a Musical (for the West End premiere run of Mack and Mabel in a production that transferred from Leicester Haymarket) and for Best Actress in a Play (for Bombshells). Other recent credits include playing Hildy in English National Opera's production of Bernstein, Comden and Green's On the Town and Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd for Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.

Recently she performed at the reopening of Hammer Hall Arts Centre in Melbourne and she is also due to perform in the postponed new musical The Prince of Broadway, based on the work of Harold Prince.

Hello, Dolly!, by Jerry Herman and Michael Stewart, will be directed by Curve artistic director Paul Kerryson, designed by Sara Perks and choreographed by David Needham, the same team behind Gypsy and The King and I at the same theatre.
