Short, who most recently starred on Broadway in his "one-man show with other people" Fame Becomes Me, will entertain as part of the black tie gala that includes cocktails, dinner, dancing and music. Short will take the stage at 8:45 PM. "Our Gala is a wonderful way to not only celebrate the education programming of Casa Mañana but also to ensure that the theatre is able to continue this programming far into the future," stated Casa Mañana president and executive producer Wally Jones. Previous Casa Mañana galas have featured hosts Jay Leno, Mandy Patinkin, Larry Hagman and Bob Newhart.
Short has appeared in the Broadway productions of The Goodbye Girl and delivered a Tony-winning performance in the revival of Little Me. Short also appeared in the Los Angeles company of The Producers opposite Jason Alexander. His extensive screen credits include "Saturday Night Live," "The Father of the Bride," "Primetime Glick" and "Three Amigos."
