Newly added to the cast are K. Todd Freeman, Bruce MacVittie, Hettienne Park, Molly Price, Danielle Skraastad and Brenda Wehle. They join the previously announced Michael Cristofer, Linda Emond, Michael Esper, Steven Pasquale and Stephen Spinella. MacVittie replaces Bill Camp, who was previously announced to appear.

Cristofer, Emond, Esper and Spinella originated their roles in the Guthrie world premiere in 2009.

Director Michael Greif, who staged the world premiere of the play at the Guthrie, also directs the Off-Broadway run, which will officially open May 5 at the Public. Performances are scheduled through June 12 in the Newman Theater. The Public and the Signature Theatre co-present the New York bow.

Here's how The Complete Homosexual's Guide is billed: "In the summer of 2007, Gus Marcantonio, a retired longshoreman, summons his children to the family's Brooklyn brownstone for a series of shocking announcements. The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide… explores revolution, radicalism, marriage, sex, prostitution, politics, real estate, unions of all kinds and debts both repaid and unpayable."

A Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner for Angels in America, Kushner also penned Short Talks on the Universe, A Bright Room Called Day, Slavs!, Hydriotaphia, Homebody/Kabul and the book to the Tony-nominated musical Caroline, or Change. The Signature Theatre Company is currently presenting repertory productions of Angels in America Off-Broadway. His adaptations include Corneille's The Illusion, S.Y. Ansky's The Dybbuk, Brecht's The Good Person of Sezuan and Mother Courage. For tickets, priced $75, phone (212) 967-7555 or visit PublicTheater.

The Public Theater is located at 425 Lafayette Street in Manhattan.
