Not this year! For anyone traveling through Grand Central Station at 6 PM on April 15, the day got a little (ok, a lot) brighter! That's when the Broadway cast of Mamma Mia!, led by Tony-winner Beth Leavel and her fellow Dynamos Judy McLane and Gina Ferall, performed live in Grand Central’s Vanderbilt Hall. The free public performance celebrates the tenth anniversary of Real Simple Magazine.
Mamma Mia! at Broadway's Winter Garden uses the songs of Swedish pop supergroup ABBA to tell the story of a single mother planning her young daughter Sophie's wedding on a picturesque Greek island, blissfully unaware that the girl has invited three men from her past — one of whom might be Sophie's father. It features hits such as “Dancing Queen,” and “Take a Chance on Me.”
