Felix Solis directs the Texas-set work, which will run March 27-April 19. Opening night is set for April 12. The complete cast includes David Anzuelo ("Law & Order: SVU"), Candy Buckley (Bernarda Alba), Paul Calderon (Two Sisters and a Piano), Noemi Del Rio (In The Heights), Michael Ray Escamilla (Election Day), Ana Nogueira (Goodtime Charley), Amanda Perez (The Little Dog Laughed), Joselin Reyes (A Winter Party), Angelo Rosso (Killing/Play) and Ed Vassallo (Havana is Waiting).
Castillo is a member of the Public's Emerging Writers Group and LAByrinth Theater Company. His new work is described as such: "Cultures collide in Texas when two Latina sisters are shipped off to live with their more well-heeled family. A poignant story of family, coming of age, and the meaning of home."
The Public LAB production will have scenic design by Peter Ksander, costume design by Ilona Somogyi, lighting design by Sarah Sidman and sound design by Bray Poor.
