In episode seven, "Previews," Ellis takes the camera into the dressing rooms and preview after-party for all of the behind-the-scenes celebrations.


Preview performances for the new Broadway musical began March 11 with an official opening on April 10.

The series is directed by Sara Wolkowitz and presented by the YouTube channel DanceOn. Music by The Kick Drums is featured. Episodes go live every Wednesday through May 18.

According to press notes, “The first webseries of its kind, ‘Diary of a Chorus Girl’ documents the making of Broadway’s Catch Me If You Can from its first rehearsal to opening night through the eyes of a real-life chorus girl in her Broadway debut, Alex Ellis. From grueling dance rehearsals in 6-inch heels, to glamorous photo shoots, to balancing a personal life, Alex Ellis takes viewers on a theatrical journey showing what it really takes to make it on the Great White Way.”
