The 7:30 PM reading will be held in the Berkshire Athenaeum in Pittsfield, MA. Those scheduled to take part in the evening include Kathleen Chalfant, Joy Franz, Myra Lucretia Taylor and Virginia Wing. Michael Perreca directs. "Meet Lila, Diana, Carlotta and Ann — four friends who face the aging process with grace, gusto and guts," reads Next press notes. "[The play] profiles [these] four unforgettable ladies as they meet in Manhattan's Riverside Drive Park over the course of five months, [to] discuss success, love and life."
Playwright Sybille Pearson received a 1984 Tony Award nomination for Best Book of a Musical for the Maltby-Shire musical Baby. She is a founding member of The Playwrights Circle at the New York Theatre Workshop, and is a Core Faculty Bookwriter for the Musical Theatre Program at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
