The play, which is part sports soap opera, part comedy, part tragedy and overflowing with American themes, opened at the Walter Kerr Theatre Feb. 27, 2003, following previews from Feb. 4 and after playing world premiere runs at London's Donmar Warehouse and The Public Theater in 2002 (the staging was an international co production).
Take Me Out is produced on Broadway by Carole Shorenstein Hays and Freddy DeMann.

Take Me Out's cast includes Daniel Sunjata, Denis O'Hare, Neal Huff, Myk Watford, Kevin Carroll, Anthony Joseph De Santis, Maximillian Alexander, Robert M. Jiménez, Shane McRae, Don Sparks and James Yaegashi.
Through Jan. 4, 2004, the playing schedule will be Tuesday-Saturday at 8 PM, Wednesday & Saturday at 2 PM, and Sunday at 3 PM. Tickets are available through Telecharge at (212) 239-6200.
